Our weather system got a total makeover—instead of the weather being stuck to the whole planet, storms now spawn as individual systems that drift across the map. If you're near the center of the storm, things can get wild with lightning strikes and winds strong enough to knock you flat, but the effects fade as you move toward the edges. Just watch out: staying exposed for too long will start to hurt, though if your gear catches fire, the rain will help put it out! You can find safety inside buildings or scout/ranger camps for total protection, giving our wilderness experts a huge new reason to be out there. NPCs will grumble about the weather and let you know when something's rolling in
For the crafters and harvesters, your maintenance droids have been updated! They can now drop off credits and power while picking up your resources all in a single trip. Off-planet trips cost a little extra, as you'd expect for your time and troubles. Structure upkeep now scales with a building's storage cap. Bigger operation, bigger responsibility. There's also a sensible cap in place to keep things from spiralling. This will allow some fun architectural post 14.1 options soon(tm). Finally, you can now pack your installations into your datapad to move them without losing your stuff—and we'll even send you a mail notification when a structure is packed up.
We've also added a "Lost & Found" for your gear to save you from accidental deletions. When you destroy an item now, it sits in a special container for a limited time before it's gone for good. If you realize you made a mistake, just use the new /destroyeditems command to pull it back out for a small recovery fee. It's the ultimate safety net for your hard-earned loot.
Looting is getting a bit smarter. We've added a system that looks for "bot-like" behavior. If the game thinks you're AFK farming, you'll notice it in your loot rolls. If you're an active hunter actually playing the game, you won't even notice.
Fashionistas and armorers, this one is for you: you can now craft customization kits to give your gear fresh new colors, plus removal kits to pop those valuable skill tapes out of your old clothes so you can reuse them - but it comes with risk. Be sure to keep your gear in good shape, though! As your wearables fall below 25% condition, the skill bonuses they give you will start to drop until you get them repaired.
Finally, we've done some deep cleaning under the hood. We rebuilt how player cities are tracked at the engine level. Combat also received a tuning pass on weapon attack speed using a diminishing returns curve to prevent runaway speed stacking.
